About Christopher A. White

Mr. White specializes in high level and significant civil litigation including serious personal injury and wrongful death, marital and family law, business tort litigation commercial litigation, construction litigation, government law and land use law.

Since 1976, Mr. White has devoted a significant portion of his practice to the field of marital and family law.  Mr. White specializes in family law cases involving complex property, alimony, child support, custody and visitation issues.  These cases regularly involve issues of extreme significance requiring a litigation support team of various experts, including appraisers, certified public accountants, business evaluators, psychiatrists and psychologists.  In the field of marital and family law, Mr. White is experienced in handling a full range of legal issues including:

  • Dissolution of marriage/divorce
  • Child custody/time sharing
  • Visitation/time sharing
  • Child support
  • Spousal support
  • Post-judgment proceedings, such as modification of child support, spousal support and time sharing
  • Paternity
  • Pre-nuptial and ante-nuptial agreements
  • Business valuation and tax issues

Mr. White was elected, by his peers, to be a Master of the Florida Family Law Inns of Court.

Also, since 1976, Mr. White’s litigation practice has included an extensive history in significant personal injury and wrongful death litigation.  Over his more than three decades of experience, his litigation practice has evolved to include complex construction, commercial and business tort litigation.

Additionally, Mr. White served as General Counsel for the Beaches Public Hospital Special Taxing District in Duval County from 1983 – 1995.  He also served as the General Counsel for the City of Neptune Beach, Florida from 1997 - 2011.  As a result of his extensive experience in the representation of governmental entities, Mr. White has developed a significant practice in the area of governmental and land use law.  In the area of land use law, Mr. White has represented both governmental entities and individuals in all associated areas of land use, including eminent domain.

Mr. White graduated from the University of Florida (B.S. in Finance with honors, 1972) and University of Florida College of Law (J.D., 1975) and was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1975; the U. S. District Court, Middle and Northern Districts of Florida and Fifth and Eleventh Circuits of U. S. Court of Appeals in 1982 and the U. S. Supreme Court in 1986. 

He is a member of Jacksonville Bar Association (Board of Governors, Young Lawyers Section, 1980-1981; Ethics Committee, 1986-1987); Jacksonville Beaches Bar Association (Treasurer, 1990; President-Elect, 1991; President, 1992);  St. Johns County Bar Association, The Florida Bar Association, American Bar Association, Florida Family Law American Inns of Court, Florida Municipal Attorneys Association, Florida Justice Association and American Association for Justice. 

Mr. White is also a certified circuit and family mediator in Fourth and Seventh Judicial Circuits in Florida and is listed in the Martindale-Hubbell Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers and is AV rated in Martindale-Hubbell.  Prior to joining Reznicsek, Fraser, Hastings, White & Shaffer, P.A., Mr. White was the sole practitioner and owner of Christopher A. White, P.A. for over 10 years.
